Creating a Trigger

Step 1 Create your Trigger Connection


  1. Locate and expand the Access section in the main nav.
  2. Click on the Connections section.
  3. Click on the button in the top right of the screen titled Create Connection.

  1. Name your Trigger Connection. If you would like to add notes you may do so. You can ignore the Content Code option since this is a trigger connection and will not be able to be shared.
  1. Deselect the “Show in Content library” and “Allow users to add, share, and remove” options.

Step 2 Create your Trigger


  1. Locate and expand the Access section in the main nav.
  2. Click on the Triggers section.
  3. Click on the button in the top right of the screen titled Create Trigger.

Title your Trigger.

Choose how you would like the trigger to work.


Depending on your choice, determines your following options. 


Trigger Types

Answered Question

Choose the Card the trigger will be on.

*Choose the answer to make the trigger.

Add or Remove the Trigger Connection.

Choose the Trigger Connection.

*This option populates when you choose a Card.

All Assessments Answered

Choose the Connection that is associated with the Assessment.

Add or Remove the Trigger Connection.

Choose the Trigger Connection.


Button Pressed


Add or Remove the Trigger Connection.

Choose the Trigger Connection.


Finished a Video


Choose the Card the trigger will be on.

Add or Remove the Trigger Connection.

Choose the Trigger Connection.


Finished all videos in a Deck

Choose the Deck.

Add or Remove the Trigger Connection.

Choose the Trigger Connection.


Step 3 Create Card to trigger other Cards


Choose the Card Type that you would like to add the Trigger button to. Except the interactive or Question Cards.



Click the bullseye icon from the WYSIWYG. This activates the Trigger modal.

Add your button text.

Choose your trigger from the drop-down.


Step 4 Create Card(s) to be triggered


Choose any Card Type that you would like to be triggered.



Add the Trigger Connection to the Card. The Connection you created in Step 1.
