FLIPTIONARY

Learn the language of FLIP

This doc will help you understand and talk the talk of the FLIP universe. We understand that FLIP is a unique platform and has very unique assets, so we have provided you with a dictionary of sorts. Our FLIPTIONARY!


Channel

The largest content container in the platform, visually represented as a horizontal rectangle with a left justified color square that has a unique icon.

  1. The icon is chosen from your organization's icon library (which can be customized to your brand).
  2. The color can be customized to be on brand as well.


Collection

The Collection is the header for a Bookcase or group of Bookcases. It is the second largest content container in FLIP. Visually represented with text.

  1. There is no character limit.


Bookcase

A Bookcase holds at least one Category with multiple Decks. Bookcase are the third largest content container in FLIP. Visually represented by a square shape with a color band across the bottom that has text within it.

The visual representation of the content container. 

  1. The color can be customized to be on brand.
  1. There is no character limit , but best practice is to keep it very short. 


Category

The Category is the header for a Deck or group of Decks. It is the fourth from the largest content container in FLIP. Visually represented with text.

  1. There is no character limit.


Deck

A Deck is a collection of Cards. It is the second smallest content container in FLIP. Visually represented by a rounded edge vertical rectangle.

  1. The Deck has the option to add a full-bleed image.


Deckline

Multiple decks within a Category.


Deckline Search

Discovery tool for accessing cards in a specific Deckline.


Deck Cover

The visual front of the Deck. The deck has three mandatory aspects to its anatomy; Color, Icon, and Title.

  1. The color and icon can be customized to your brand.
  2. A full-bleed image can be uploaded


Card

A Card is the smallest content container in FLIP. Visually represented by a rounded edge vertical rectangle.


Front:
  1. The front side does not scroll, so best practice is to keep the verbiage on it short.
  1. You can add two sizes of imagery. (700px X 438px & 700px X 1133px).
Back:
  1. Back side scrolls.
  1. You can add imagery, audio, video, and much more.

All cards within a Deck.


Card Front

Non-scrollable side of a card. The front has two options for imagery; full-bleed, or golden ratio (shown below).

Card Back

Scrollable side of the Card.


Index Card

An index list of all Cards in a Deck that appears at the beginning of the Cardline.

  1. No other cards can be placed before an Index card.


Section

A select group of Cards within the index. The section is expandable to view the Cards within it.


Resources

External links that can be added to the bottom of Cards.

Types of links:
  1. Document
  2. Website
  3. Video
  4. Image
  5. Email
  6. Phone


Flip a Card

The action of turning a Card over.


Knowledge Check

Collection of question Cards based on corporate mandates.


Assessment

A certifiable quiz that contains content Cards that refer to the questions within:
  1. Are linked to a company’s LMS.
  2. Produces a Certificate Card upon completion.
  3. Option for Users to re-test their knowledge for incorrect answers.
  4. User attempt limits


Tuck

A circle shaped icon that allows a user to save a Card to a custom, personalized Deck.  Located in the bottom right of a Card. Users can tuck a Card to create their own custom Decks that live on the their own Homepage. Users can add any number of Cards to a custom Deck and can create as many tucked Decks as they want.


Tucking a Card

When you find a Card that you want to "tuck" away, you simply tap or click the circle icon in the bottom right corner of the Card.
You can then create a personalized Deck to put your Card away by tapping or clicking the new Deck image. 


User Deck

Custom created Deck from tucking a Card that lives on the Homepage of the platform under the "My Decks" Category.


Favorite

A heart shaped icon that duplicates a Card into a Favorites Deck located on the Homepage of the platform under the "My Decks" Category. Located in the bottom left of a Card.


Global Search

Discovery tool for accessing all Cards and related Decks in the platform.


Library

The visual display of the user’s available content. Accessible by the left icon.


Home

Location in the platform for the user to locate their custom user Decks, certifications, favorites, competitions, and dynamic content.


Dynamic Content

Categories that display content dynamically on the User's Homepage. These Categories are optional and consist of; Recently opened, Trending Decks, and What's New.


Account Settings

Menu that has the user’s info and app functions displayed. Icon located in the top right of the screen.


Connection

Provides the user with content. A connection is a visual key for the User; in order for a User to see a Card, the User and the Card must share the same Connection. Connections have their own unique QR code or text code for shareability.


Trigger

A call to action that adds or removes a Connection from a User. 
Trigger types:
  1. Answer a question
  2. Answer a Likert question
  3. Watch a video
  4. Button press
  5. Finish an assessment


Promo

A banner that can be placed in specified locations in the platform. The Promo can link to internal sections of the platform as well as external web addresses.

Placement locations:
  1. Library
  2. Homepage
  3. Channel


Competition

Users garner points by taking actions within the platform and displayed on a leaderboard. Create teams or individual players competitions. Competition instructions and leaderboards are displayed on the User's Homepage within the competition decks they belong to.


User

Individual employees who have access to the FLIP app.


Admin

An individual who has administrative access to the FLIP app.


Admin Portal

An administrative web based content builder with a reporting suite.


Notification

Mobile or email message sent to Users from the admin portal.


Special Notice

Customizable message that is displayed as a screen take over in the app.
