The FLIP Philosophy

Today people are wired with short attention spans. Traditional methods of learning that were once the standard are just not cutting it anymore. FLIP’s approach to learning, which is based upon the principles of Flash Cards, is custom designed for this exact audience. FLIP takes learning content and condenses it into a patented format that today’s user can easily digest. FLIP also reinforces the learning content through the seamless integration of assessment using quizzes to promote learning and retention.

Turns out boredom can kill your willpower to pay attention and learn. Repetition is critical for learning, but what the brain craves is novelty. With this knowledge in mind, FLIP’s designers believe they have solved the boredom problem by bringing individuality into the platform. The FLIP system is based on repetition in the form of decks and cards that each behave with the same basic functions. However, each card is unique as their creators and therefore keeps the learner engaged with every swipe.

The goal of FLIP’s designers was to create a simple study tool for learners whose study habits are sporadic and unpredictable. FLIP allows content creators to break down learning content into their most fundamental building blocks. This allows the learner to view the individual content blocks or “cards” they feel they need to educate themselves on, and because FLIP is device agnostic, learners can view the knowledge at the time of need.

Simple, simple, simple. FLIP is direct, easy, and straight-forward. From the card formatted delivery interface, the organization of the content, down to the color palette.
