You might find the need or want to duplicate an existing Card. If so, we have made the process very easy to do so. You simply need to click the duplicate button and tweak some settings! Read below for further details.

Duplicating an Existing Card

When you are in the Card editor screen, click on the Duplicate Card button on the right of the screen to duplicate the Card. The button is located near the bottom on the right under the Settings header, you may need to scroll down to see it.

When you click on the button, a modal will prompt. The existing Card's title will be displayed with the pre-fix COPY, you should give the new Card a different and unique title. You also have the option to copy the same connection to the new Card. This is only necessary if you would like the same group of users to view this new Card.

The Duplicated Card

Once you have clicked the Duplicate button on the modal, you will be taken to the new Card's editor screen. There are a few settings you will need to tweak.

It will live in the same Deck as the original Card. If you would like it to live in a different Deck, you can search for that different Deck under the Decks header at the right of the screen. You will need to remove the existing Deck as well by clicking the x on the blue pill shape. If there is not an existing Deck to add it to, you can also create a brand new Deck by clicking the Create Deck button.

The Card will be inactivated upon creation. You will need to activate the Card so it can be visible on the platform. You can activate the Card by clicking the active toggle.

If “Copy Assigned Connections” was not checked in the modal, the Card will have no Connection. You will need to add a new or existing connection to the Card for visibility. You can search for existing connections at the right of the editor screen. You can also create a new connection from here, keep in mind, users will need to be assigned this new connection as well to be able to see it.
