How to Create a Card

There are a couple of ways to create a Card in the admin. We will explain both ways, keeping in mind that the best practice is to create a Card within a Deck. By creating a Card within an existing Deck, you know where it is going to live and do not need to search for a Deck to place it in. The best practice for creating content is the top-down method.

Creating a Card from an Existing Deck:

From the Library screen, choose the existing Deck you would like to add Cards to, by clicking on it.

Once in the Deck, click on the Create Card button in the top left of the screen to build a Card.

Clicking on the button will bring up the template chooser modal. From here you can choose the type of Card you would like to create. This will bring up the Card editor screen, and once created, the Card will populate at the bottom of the Card list (if other Cards exist).

Do not forget, you will then need to assign a connection to the Card so it can be visible to the users. Note: the users will need to be assigned the same connection for visibility. This function is located at the right of the screen under the Settings title.

Creating a Card from the main navigation:

From the main navigation, you will need to locate and expand the Content section in the main nav. From there, click on the Cards section.

This will bring up a list of all the Cards that have been created. Locate the Create Card button at the top right of the screen and click on it.

This will bring up the Card template chooser. From here you can choose the type of Card you would like to create. This will bring up the Card editor screen, and once created, the Card will just populate within the list of existing Cards. You will need to assign it to a Deck.

You can search for existing Decks or create a new one from within the Card editor screen. This is located near the bottom at the right of the screen. You might need to scroll down a bit to locate it.

You will then need to assign a connection to the Card so it can be visible to the users. Note: the users will need to be assigned the same connection for visibility. This function is located at the right of the screen under the Settings title.
